This form was designed to aid the comprehension of struggling readers, based on research I completed in the Spring of 2003 at a Region XIII workshop, a Southwest Texas State University course in Teaching Reading, and on the Reading Apprenticeship approach.
Peer and Self-Evaluation forms based on the idea that in order to persuade, negative criticism must be sandwiched between positive (pdf format).
Behavior Management Plan based on Harry Wong's approach (pdf format).
Comparison of English I - IV TEKS in chart form (pdf format). This analysis was done in the Summer of 2001 as part of my certification courses. It clearly shows how state requirements differ from year to year.
Reading Club Choice Sheet and Reading Club Test - I've reviewed the literature on Literary Circles, which is focused primarily on younger students, and adapted it for struggling secondary readers. Lesson plans associated with the reading clubs are located in my Last Grading Period.
