Historical Club Datelines:

1978 Converted from a TOTAL WEIGHT System to determine the Club’s "TOP SIX" Fishermen for the year to a TOURNAMENT PLACEMENT POINTS System to determine the Club’s "TOP SIX" Fishermen for the year.

1980 First Canyon Lake OPEN Tournament.

1988 Changed from a single "TOP SIX" Club format to a "TOP TWELVE" Club format. Thus creating two state tournament teams with each team to participate in a different Club affiliation at the State Tournament level.

1990 Started the First Fun Fish Day in San Marcos for Handicapped Kids.
