The San Marcos Sun's lastest project
The suns gathered at the Austin car dealership of Red McComb's,
corner of Lamar Blvd and Highway 183. The project was a joint effort of KLBJ
FM Radio, Austin Sand & Gravel, Inecio Trucking, Red McCombs, and the
Suns. We built this sculpture on May 2 & 3, 1996. We were provided with
53 tons of sand and this is how it assembled.
I would like to thank David Morris, Gary Guilbert, Patrick McKeever, Mark
Lambdin, Wilbon Davis, Bobby Niemietz, & Ken Nesbeth for their help
in this project.
