They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31.
Stations of the Cross - Stations of the Cross is an all-denominations outdoor walking devotional activity representing the final events in the life of Jesus. Both the on-ground and website devotions here are intended for any and ALL Christians and don't emphasize any one particular denomination. We are ALL gathered together in service and devotion to our Lord. Regardless of denomination, please feel free to join in - and may he bless you richly.
Bring the kids? You betcha!! Just be prepared to answer their questions when you get home, and to watch that seed grow in their hearts!
Please browse through our site, and contemplate the enormous love our Savior has shown us. Use of this website is heartily invited throughout the year, not just during the Lent-Easter season!
(November 25, 2002) - We have moved the physical site to a new location on Ranch Road 12 west of San Marcos between the Baptist Academy and the First Christian Church. St Mark's Episcopal Church has purchased property adjoining First Christian Church, and the two properties together offer an excellent physical site for a new Stations of the Cross. It will have better parking facilities and views. It's rocky and a little hilly, but we are working on making it easier for the elderly and handicapped. The trails have been cleared professionally (thank you, Tom Saunders Construction Company!!) and paved with crushed rock, which should help greatly with accessibility year-round. We're still working on this so "stay tuned".
Many thanks to First Christian Church for help in funding the surfacing of the trails for convenience, safety, and accessibility of users. Special thanks to Mr Billy Windham of First Christian Church, without whom we might not have been able to continue Stations of the Cross at all this year. And finally, many many thanks to the owner of our previous physical site for his generosity and patience over these several years.
