Pastoral Council
Our Mission
As disciples of Jesus, we the parishioners of St. John's in San Marcos will gather to worship, celebrate, educate, and evangelize. Our multi-cultural, multi-lingual and mulit-generational Catholic Christian community will serve with compassion, dignity and respect. We will answer Christ's call to be faithful stewards of our Time, Talent and Treasure.
What s the Pastoral Council?
The Pastoral Council is a representative body of the faithful whose focus is one the whole community - it beliefs, its hopes, its joys, its needs, its sorrows, its concerns, its gifts and its pursuit of the mission of the Church.
The Pastoral Council's task is to give council and seek consultation. They are advisors to the pastor.
Contact a Pastoral Council member if you know of an area in the parish that needs attention. We will bring up your questions and concerns at our meeting with the Pastor. Our goal is to look for a way to address the issue(s) efficiently.
